Holiday gift wrap is meeting topic

Mom’s Club of the Foothills, a support group for stay-at-home moms in the Crescenta Valley area, will hold its next meeting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10 at St. Luke’s of the Mountains church (no religious affiliation). This month’s topic is holiday gift wrap. Visitors and children welcome. The event is free. For more info contact: Foothillmommembership@hotmail.com.

Project to honor local citizens

Local individuals and organizations will be recognized for demonstrating high standards of character at the Quarterly Community Awards Program of the Character and Ethics Project on Thursday, Dec. 10. The event will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the board room of the Glendale Unified School District Office. The public is invited.  Included in the list of nominees are Lincoln Elementary School, community leaders Rick Dinger, Nancy and Chip Stone. Each recipient will receive certificates by Congressman Adam Schiiff, Senator Carol Liu, Assemblyman Paul Krekorian, Supervisor Michael Antonovich and Mayor Frank Quintero.

Holiday concert planned by CVHS students

CVHS Vocal Department is hosting the Feast of Lights at 7 p.m. on Dec. 3 and Dec. 4. Held in the MacDonald Auditorium, the admission price is $8 for adults; $5 for students. Renowned Charismatics will be performing. Refreshments available beginning at 6 p.m. MacDonald Auditorium at 4400 Ramsdell Ave.

Noon concerts open to public

Glendale Noon Concerts is a free admission, professional concert series taking place every first and third Wednesday from 12:10-12:40 p.m. in the newly restored chapel and sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Glendale (downtown at Louise & Wilson, no religious affiliation).

The public is invited to attend.
