The Rocky Art House, a Crescenta Valley one-of-a-kind rock inspired home full of history from the earth, will host over a dozen local artists and crafters and their handcrafted items on Sunday, Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Shoppers can check names off their holiday shopping list when purchasing handmade cards, jewelry, whimsical vintage crafts including Christmas ornaments and memorabilia, wearable art, metal art, mixed-media assemblage, pottery, handmade journals and mini notebooks, sculpture, and genuine antique sewing machines.

Eco gift-wrapping will be available and shoppers can stop and experience short hands-on craft workshops and make a personalized gift themselves.

Judy Bowman, the event’s hostess and coordinator, wants to do her part in supporting local artists and the local economy. This event is part of an on-going program featuring the Rocky Art House and local artists.

There is no admission fee for the public. Enjoy a walk through the landscaped half-acre yard that features Rocky Root’s stone/rock masonry and whimsical sense of humor using found art. Hot spiced cider, home-made baked goods plus music will complete the experience.

The Rocky Art House is located at 10231 Haines Canyon Ave. in Tujunga between Day and Apperson streets.
