“The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don’t define them, or even seriously consider them as believable or achievable. Winners can tell you where they are going, what they plan to do along the way, and who will be sharing the adventure with them.”  Denis Waitley
We hope everyone had a very happy Christmas and a very happy holiday month for whatever you celebrate this season. It is always great to celebrate with family and friends. Now on to 2013!

Are you going to be a winner in 2013? Do you know where you are going? The Crescenta Valley Chamber wants to share the adventure with you. If you are a new business or an existing business that wants to give your business a boost in 2013, visit the chamber office. We have free or low cost ideas on advertising and marketing your business. The CV Chamber’s goals for 2013 are to help you and your businesses.  Let’s set your goals and resolutions this year to make it the best business year ever.  We can help make it easy.

A great way to jump-start your business for 2013 is to join us at Ocean View Bar & Grill for our January business mixer on Jan 10. Ocean View Bar & Grill, at 3826 Ocean View Blvd., is an upscale restaurant that brings the ultimate dining experience to Montrose. The restaurant features upscale gourmet fare that is authentic, flavorful and fun. Our mixer is a great time to see this fine establishment while mingling with 40-50 other business owners.

If your New Year’s resolution is to help the community you live in, please join us on Thursday, Jan 10 at La Cañada Country Club, 5500 Godbey Drive, La Cañada Flintridge for our annual installation of officers and directors, during which this year’s Mary Pinola/CV Chamber Educational Endowment Funds will be distributed. Each year educational programs in the Crescenta Valley benefit from the hard work and generosity of Mary Pinola, members of the CV Chamber and all the people that join us in raising funds to help these programs. The Educational Endowment Fund reaches out to the community, visiting sites and learning more about ways the Educational Endowment Fund may enrich the Crescenta Valley. The foundation achieved their fundraising goals by working together to put on a successful Smart-A-Thon in March 2012 that was attended by over 130 Crescenta Valley leaders.

On Jan. 10, at the CV Chamber’s installation luncheon, almost $15,000 will be distributed to so many worthy groups. These funds go directly back into the Crescenta Valley schools, non-profit groups and medical facilities to help enrich educational services. To learn more about this program please join us at our luncheon which will also include an incredible silent auction. Reservations are due at the chamber office by Dec. 31.

Happy New Year, Crescenta Valley!
