A pursuit that began in the Angeles National Forest continued down the Angeles Crest Highway to the Foothill (210) freeway westbound and onto the Glendale (2) freeway south.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies from Crescenta Valley Station began the pursuit after receiving a call concerning a man described as Hispanic who was apparently trying to stop vehicles in the ANF, and had blood on his clothing and hands, according to Sgt. Gonzales.
When deputies arrived they saw the car matching the suspect’s vehicle description and attempted to perform a traffic stop, but the suspect did not comply and the pursuit began.
The suspect continued off the Glendale (2) freeway to the Golden State (5) freeway, then onto the southbound 110 freeway. Los Angeles police and California Highway Patrol joined the pursuit.
The suspect’s average speed ranged from 45 miles per hour to 50 mph and his speed steadily increased. The pursuit is still in progress on the 110 south.
