The Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce inducted its new board and celebrated community leaders at the annual installation and awards dinner held on Jan. 24 at the Oakmont Country Club.
The evening was a salute to the roaring ’20s with executive director Melinda Clarke, among others, dressing in period costume.
The gavel was handed to newly christened chamber president Pat Longo by outgoing president Scott Trulik. Longo – himself an honoree, the recipient of the Business Person of the Year award – welcomed each presenter to the stage and congratulated each honoree.
The chamber is next anticipating the centennial celebration of Montrose that is taking place on Feb. 23-24 on Honolulu Avenue.
