‘The Mystery of Edwin Drood’ at CVHS
Crescenta Valley High School presents the musical, “The Mystery of Edwin Drood.”

Take a trip back in time to a Victorian music hall where a rowdy ensemble of actors mounts a staging of Charles Dickens’ unfinished novel.

Everyone on stage is a suspect in the murder of young Edwin Drood, and it’s up to the audience to choose the killer. Each performance ends differently, depending on what the audience decides.

Showtimes are Feb. 22-23, March 1-2 at 7 p.m. and a Feb. 24 matinee at 2 p.m.

Reservations can be made by calling (818) 497-5801.

Prices are $15 for reserved section, $10 for general section.

‘Friendship Circle’ at Y
The Crescenta-Cañada Family YMCA is offering the Friendship Circle, a six week session designed for children ages 5-9 to enhance social skills, self-esteem and problem solving skills through games and activities. Under the direction of professional therapists, children will experience a safe place to disclose their worries and ambitions about making friends and keeping them … and have fun while learning.

The Friendship Circle is geared towards children who may have been picked on at school or are excessively shy. The group will be led by Kiersten Mikelas who helps children and families through her work as a private practice intern with Bechtol Psychotherapy in Pasadena. The six-week session will go from Feb. 20 – March 27, meeting Wednesday evenings from
6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This group is open to the community and there is a $65 fee.
