CLOSED FOREST ROADS EXPECTED TO RE-OPEN THIS AFTERNOON, WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2013 AT 4:30 PM.

The Los Angeles County Public Works Department has announced the expected re-opening of the following roads in the Angeles National Forest that were closed on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, due to snow and icy conditions:

• Angeles Forest Hwy from Aliso Canyon Rd to Angeles Crest Hwy (SR-2)
• Big Tujunga Canyon Rd from Angeles Forest Hwy to Vogel Flats
• Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Rd from Angeles Forest Hwy to Angles Crest Hwy (SR-2)

The roads are expected to re-open this afternoon, Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 4:30 PM.

Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling all mountain roads during the winter as icy conditions may be present.

Residents and motorists are urged to visit the CARE website at www.dpwcare.org for further updates on road conditions, or sign up to receive instant notifications through Public Works’ eNotify system atwww.dpw.lacounty.gov. Residents and motorists can also follow Public Works @dpwCARE for additional information on road conditions.

Residents, business owners, and persons with access or functional needs may also call 2-1-1 for LA County information and referral services regarding post disaster resources that are available to those affected by the floods and debris and mudflow.
