On Friday, seven Cub Scouts from Pack 302 came to visit the Crescenta Valley Weekly newspaper.
Brandon Hahn, Timothy Lou, Victor Martinez, Preston Midgley, Armen Postik and Jordan Yoshida attend Monte Vista and Lincoln elementary schools.
Joaquin Perez attends Roscoe Elementary School.
They came to the newspaper to see how the paper is made, said Armen, 6, and Brandon, 7.
Publisher Robin Goldsworthy explained how she started the paper in 2009 and told how the paper is made every week. Tech editor Charly Shelton showed the scouts how the newspaper is also found online on the CV Weekly website and is available in a digital format.
The boys talked about some of the favorite things about Scouting. One of the best things is going on tours and visiting places, said Armen. He added that Cub Scout leader Annethe Postik “tells us what to do and what is happening.”
Victor, 7, said he likes to go camping with Pack 302.
Brandon, who attends Monte Vista, said he likes the school and they do activities.
At the end of the tour of the newspaper, the boys had their picture taken and will earn their “Go See It” bead.
