Pancake Breakfast, Rummage Sale at Dunsmore
Dunsmore Elementary School is having a pancake breakfast and rummage sale on Saturday, March 2 at the school.
The community is invited from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. to support Dunsmore’s sixth grade class by purchasing a $5 pancake breakfast ticket and shop at the rummage sale.

LCFCC Hosting Round-up
La Cañada Flintridge Community Center preschool is hosting its 20th annual Western Round-Up on Saturday, March 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the preschool. This popular western-themed fundraiser will feature family fun including pony rides, a petting zoo, inflatable slide, carnival games and prizes, silent auction, raffle drawing, barbecue lunch by Shreiner’s Fine Sausages, a bake sale, balloon animals and craft activities.
All are welcome to the preschool’s “barn” at 4469 Chevy Chase Drive, La Cañada Flintridge. Game tickets and barbecue meals are available for purchase at the school on event day. Free parking will be available at Allen Lund, across the street on Foothill.
The round-up will happen rain or shine.
Jog-A-Thon at Dunsmore
Dunsmore Elementary School is having its 5th Annual Jog-A-Thon on Friday, March 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the lower field. The PTA fundraiser is an opportunity for about 400 Dunsmore students (kindergarten through sixth grade) to stay healthy while also raising funds to support the school’s programs including funding educational assemblies, field trips, art and science docents, computer software and other PTA events.
PTA members, parent volunteers and teachers will be on the field throughout the day to support the little “Hilltoppers.”

SAT Seminars Offered
Assistance League of Glendale is offering low cost SAT seminars again this March.
The four-week course starts March 4. There are two sessions, Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The cost is $45, which covers the sessions, a book and refreshments. Registration forms are available at www.alglendale.org/sat.htm, local high school counselors’ offices and at Thrift Alley, 314-A Harvard St. Glendale or call (818) 247-4296.
The seminars are held at Assistance League at 314 E. Harvard St. in Glendale.

The Kohl’s Department Stores Kohl’s Cares® Scholarship Program will award more than $425,000 in scholarships and prizes this year. Nominations for kids ages 6 to 18 will be accepted through March 15 at kohlskids.com.
‘The Mystery of Edwin Drood’ at CVHS
Crescenta Valley High School presents the musical, “The Mystery of Edwin Drood.”
