GCC men’s basketball player Gor Plavchyan was named Western State Conference Player of the Week for helping the Vaqueros beat Canyons and L.A. Valley College while the women’s team fell to Santa Monica City College.

The baseball team posted three wins last week while the women’s tennis team won three matches last week to run its winning streak to five matches while the men’s tennis team split a pair of matches.

The women’s softball team dropped a pair of games last week and the men and women’s track teams had some good results at an All-Comers meet at Pomona-Pitzer College.
