The Second Annual Glendale City Golf Championship is set for July 25 and July 29. Together, the Glendale Parks and Open Space Foundation, Scholl Canyon Golf Course, Oakmont Country Club, American Golf and The Local Trusted Choice Insurance Agents will host the annual championship to benefit the local parks and open space.
The first round will take place on July 25 at the Scholl Canyon Golf Course in Glendale. There will be four flights. The low 16 in the championship flight and the low eight in the other three flights will advance to Oakmont Country Club on July 29 to compete for the championship. There will also be a ladies flight.
This is a very unique event with the first round at a par 60, 3,039-yard course and the second round at Oakmont Country Club that will play over 7,000 yards for the championship flight.
Although this is a city championship, golfers of all abilities are welcome to come out and play to support the Glendale Parks and Open Space Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization.
Trusted Choice Agent and Tournament Chair Rick Dinger said, “This is an exciting event that will raise much needed funds for our local parks at a time when so much of their budgets are being cut.”
