Another renewing business is Don Cucos Mexican Restaurant at 214 N. Brand Blvd., in Glendale. Its founder came to California in 1957 from the “White City” of Merida located in the Yucatan Penisula, Mexico. The first Don Cuco was opened in 1969 in Toluca Lake. Soon after several locations followed throughout Southern California, including Glendale.  They have world famous margaritas, frozen or on the rocks, and some of the best Mexican food this side of the border.
