On March 13, Lincoln Elementary School hosted Rachel Renee Russell, author of the popular Dork Diaries series, who spoke with students and autographed copies of her books.
The school-wide assembly was for students in grades one through six was held after lunch in the school’s auditorium.
According to the school’s assistant librarian, Russell’s books are extremely popular, particularly with girls, and it is not unusual for there to be a waiting list of readers eager to follow the latest tales.
Titles include “Tales From a Not-So-Fabulous Life,” “Tales From a Not-So-Popular Party Girl” and “Tales From a Not-So-Talented Pop Star.”
Russell’s visit was sponsored by Once Upon A Time bookstore in Montrose.
