California Highway Patrol has closed the Angeles Crest Highway from the Angeles National Forest Hwy. to the La Cañada entrance to the forest.

“[The closure is due] to a hazardous materials response,” said Sgt. Hanson, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept.

During the  investigation a deceased man was discovered in a car with the hazardous material.  L.A. County Fire Dept. has responded with a hazardous materials unit.

The road will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.
