4600 block of La Crescenta Avenue in La Crescenta, a resident reported cash stolen from her purse that was located in her home. She reported that the only one in the home at the time was an employee that she had not been able to contact since she found her cash missing.
The incident occurred between 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.

May 22
2700 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, an employee of Tazza Coffee reported that it appeared someone attempted to enter the locked business. She discovered both front and side doors had locking cylinders damaged overnight.

4200 block of Encinas Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a witness reported seeing a green Suburban driving southbound on Encinas Drive. She reported seeing the vehicle stop next to a pick up truck that was parked on the street. A man got out of the car and reached into the back of the pick up. He took gardening tools out of the truck, got back into the SUV and drove away. The owner of the pick-up was contacted and reported a gas blower was stolen.
The incident occurred at 12:45 p.m.


May 21
2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, the manager of Ralphs market reported witnessing a man, described as white, 5’9” tall and weighing 180 pounds and, at the time, wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans, pushing a shopping cart with items out of the west entrance/exit of the door. He passed several registers without attempting to pay at 7:23 p.m.

2200 block of Mira Vista Avenue in Montrose, someone entered an unlocked residence and stole a backpack with personal items and a bed cover between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.

700 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, an employee of Doña Maria restaurant reported finding the rear security door and inner door open of the business when he arrived at work. He noticed the wooden inner door’s frame was cracked. He discovered the cash register open. Cash was stolen and doors were damaged overnight.
