On May 4-5, the Glendale Civic Auditorium hosted the 12th Annual Armenian Cultural & Food Festival. The event included Armenian singers, folk dance performances, costume shows, delectable foods and pastries, cultural exhibits and activities for people of all ages.

The annual festival, organized by the Armenian Relief Society (ARS) of Western USA, celebrates the richness of Armenian culture, allowing guests the opportunity to enjoy first-hand many deep-rooted traditions. Alongside costume shows, folk dancing and singers, the auditorium’s lower level featured displays of regional costumes and artwork.

“For this occasion, we published a HOMe Remedies Book, which will incorporate a collection of traditional remedies and time-tested techniques that will help treat and heal various ailments,” said Seta Tarpinian, co-chairperson of the ARS Regional Festival Committee. “It is our aim to ensure that our cultural traditions remain alive outside our homeland and that local community members become better acquainted with them. As always, we entrust our organization’s success to our supporters.”

Proceeds from the annual festival support the ARS of Western USA’s various local and international programs benefiting individuals and communities most in need.
