When it was time to pay for the item, she allegedly stated, “Oh man my piggy bank is empty, can I use a hundred dollar bill?” The employee took the $100 bill and inspected it and suspected it to be a forgery but accepted it against his better judgment. He gave the woman change and she exited the store. The employee took the bill to his manager who confirmed it to be a forgery.
