Eric Matthew Suarez of Tujunga, a graduate of Saint Francis High School, will attend Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y. as a member of the class of 2017. Suarez, who will be majoring in chemical engineering, will begin studying at Clarkson in the fall.

Maria D. Leon of La Crescenta who attends Baylor University School of Education was one of 3200 students named to the dean’s academic honor list for the 2013 spring semester. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must be an undergraduate with a minimum grade-point average of 3.7, while enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours.

John Courtney Duncan of La Cañada was one of 2,200 graduates at spring commencement exercises May 17-18 at Baylor University in Texas. Duncan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in geology.

Baylor University is a private Christian university and a nationally ranked liberal arts institution, classified by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching as a research university with “high research activity.”

William Chung, from Montrose graduated from Villanova University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering during a spring commencement ceremony held on May 19.

Megan Victoria Wiechmann has been named to the dean’s list at James Madison University for the spring 2013 semester. Students who earn dean’s list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899. Wiechmann is a senior whose major is health sciences – BS.
