The incident began when the homeowners, a husband and wife, had hired the man, a painting contractor, to work on the residence. They paid him with a check prior to the work being done, however upon inspection of the work they found it was not completed. The homeowners canceled the check. The man called the wife and was angry. It was later discovered that a back window screen was lying on the ground and the window was open. The Rowland Heights man was arrested for burglary and making criminal threats at 9:30 a.m.
