St. Francis High School announced that Matt Luderer has been hired as the school’s new athletic director as of July 1. Luderer was selected from a group of well-qualified candidates to lead the St. Francis Athletic Program starting in the 2013-14 school year.

Ted Corcoran, St. Francis’ strength and conditioning trainer and assistant football coach, was promoted to the assistant athletic director position.

St. Francis expresses its gratitude to Terry Terrazone, the school’s former athletic director, for his 18 years of service to the St. Francis Athletics Program. His positive impact will continue as he remains on campus to further serve the St. Francis community.

Luderer comes to St. Francis from Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino where he served as the athletic director for the last five years. As a graduate of Crespi and Loyola Marymount University, Luderer understands the nature of Catholic education as well as the importance of the Franciscan virtues to the mission of St. Francis High School and the direction of the athletics program.
