The Glendale Bears Youth Football and Cheerleading organization is now accepting applications for those who would like to join the 2010 season. All returning staff members are asked to complete an application for the new season in order for organizers to find who is interested in what position. Options include board member, football head coach, assistant directors, cheer head and assistant coaches and trainers.

Glendale Bears currently have many positions open including midget [league] head coach with staff, security coordinator, fund raising coordinator and snack bar manager.

Preregistration for the season is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m. on Feb. 21 at Glendale High School.

Those that attend the early bird registration will receive a $20 discount off their regular sign up fees. A $20 gift certificate towards Glendale Bear mechandise and snack bar will be given to those who recommend the league to others and recruit new members.

The members that are recommended must be new to the city of Glendale and on the application credit the recommending organization member.

Donations will be accepted on behalf of the entire organization.

In addition, banquets are starting to be scheduled for late January-early February. Locations are being sought for these events. Anyone with suggestions for a banquet location is urged to send an e-mail so the kids’ celebration will not be delayed.
