Annelise C. Thompson of La Cañada Flintridge was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from Denison University by President Dale Thomas Knobel at Denison’s 172nd commencement held on May 12.
Thompson earned a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, in chemistry with a minor in mathematics. A consistent dean’s list student, she is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Mortar Board, the Phi Society, an honorary recognizing excellence in the first year of study, and Sigma Xi, the national scientific research honorary. She was awarded several scholarships and was a senior fellow in the chemistry and biochemistry department.

Natalie Sherif of La Cañada has been placed on the Gettysburg College dean’s honor list for outstanding academic achievement in the spring 2013 semester.
Students with a quality point average of 3.60 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for a semester’s work are placed on the college’s dean’s honor list.
Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences.

Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. announced that Emmet Hayes and Jacob Sirof of La Cañada Flintridge and Edward Taylor of La Crescenta have earned placement on the dean’s list for the spring semester of the 2013 academic year.
The Berklee curriculum focuses on practical career preparation for today’s music industry. To be eligible for the dean’s list, a full-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or above; a part-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.6 or above.
