Daniel L. Beauchamp passed away Aug. 20 at the age of 78. He was a very caring person, a man devoted to his family who loved his friends. He was lovingly known as “Uncle Dan.”
Daniel was born Sept. 22, 1934 in Carlisle, Iowa and grew up in Grimes, Iowa, where he was an accomplished athlete. After serving in the U.S. Army, he attended University of Iowa. After graduation, he and a friend traveled west and settled in North Hollywood. He married Sharon in 1965 and they settled in La Crescenta where he lived until his death.
Daniel worked at Lockheed Aircraft for 35 years. He retired in 1991 and worked as an extra on TV and in the movies.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sharon; son Jeff and his wife Lilly; grandsons Ryan, Evan and Drew; his son Brad and his wife Dawn; his grandson Trevor and granddaughter Brooklyn; and sister Suzanne.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. at Crippen Mortuary, 2900 Honolulu Ave., La Crescenta. Interment will be at 1 p.m. at Eternal Valley in Newhall.
