Ronald L. Myers of La Cañada Flintridge died suddenly on Sunday, Aug. 4 at the age of 47.
He was born in Glendale on July 15, 1966 to Roger and Jeanne Myers, both of who preceded him in death.
Ron was raised in Sunland and graduated from Verdugo Hills High School. Following in his father’s career footsteps, Ron worked in the film industry as a prop maker. He was a member of Local 44, Affiliated Property Craftpersons of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE). One of the biggest and his favorite films he worked on was “Blade” in 1997. He worked on various other films, commercials and video shoots throughout his career. Most recently, he worked in the maintenance department at Paramount Studios where he was very well liked by his co-workers and always had a smile for everyone wherever he went.
A supportive husband and father, Ron will be remembered for his sense of humor, his smile, his handyman skills, his famous barbecued ribs and his close ties with family and friends.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 12½ years, Beth, as well as his children Gabby and Matt; his brother Rob Myers; nephew Sean Myers; niece Kasey Myers; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Aug. 17 at La Cañada Presbyterian Church.
