Crescenta Valley High School held its back to school night on Thursday on the school campus.
Hundreds of parents and students crowded onto the school’s quad to hear the music of the Charismatics, the school’s a cappella group, in addition to the marching band, and dining on barbecue offered by Prom Plus. The cheer squad and song also performed. The JROTC color guard started off the presentations.
Linda Junge, CVHS’s new principal, welcomed everyone before inviting Prom Plus president Robin Goldsworthy to take the mic to talk about the organization and introducing the members of the Prom Plus Club. The club is the on-campus, student-run arm of Prom Plus. At back to school night, club members performed a short shuffle (dance) that they also performed at the Prom Plus 20th anniversary launch party held earlier this month.
Then the school bell rang, signaling that it was time to head off to classes to learn what would be expected of students this year.
