Afternoon Accident Briefly Shuts Down Freeway

All lanes of the northbound 2 freeway at Fern are now open after an accident shut down all lanes this afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol. The accident involved a motorcycle and a small car between at 2:52 p.m.
All northbound lanes of the freeway were shut down briefly.  According to a CHP spokeswoman no further information regarding the number of people involved nor the level of their injuries is currently available.
