Shop, Dine, & Fall in Love With Montrose Treats!

I just got back from a day of shopping big box chains. You know what they are lacking? Atmosphere! The Montrose Shopping Park not only offers quality handpicked goods and foods from our “one-of-a-kind” shops and cafes, we have atmosphere. Our small town feel is genuine. Why? Because we really are a small town, offering something that is hard to find in the big centers in the big city. We are small. We are one-of-a-kind. We are special and we cherish it! Where else can you find a hometown Harvest Market with a world renowned pumpkin carver? This Sunday you will find Jon Neill performing his craft right in front of Joselito’s Mexican Restaurant. Jon, who just appeared on the Food Network, is a master on sculpting the human head in miniature and his work can be seen in more than 50 movies and television shows! This is a treat courtesy of your local Montrose merchants who appreciate you and want to make your visits to the Montrose Shopping Park an experience.

We are luxuriating in the wonders of fall, not like others who rush the seasons. We want to enjoy October, the main fall month. Leave it to Baked On Oceanview (3600 Ocean View Blvd. next to Copy Network) to come up with something so special to celebrate fall. Where else can you get candy corn cupcakes baked with pure butter by a le cordon bleu chef? Aren’t they perfect?! Baked also has made from scratch mini pumpkin pies. Their new quiches are  bacon, gruyere & caramelized onion and spinach & feta. You must try Baked this week! Lots of treats!

Well, so far there are no tricks here, just treats. Recently we celebrated the grand reopening of the newly remodeled Glendale Police substation. Did you know the merchants of the Montrose Shopping Park pay 100% of the rent and 100% of the utilities so the substation can be here? We are so thankful to the GPD and we put our money where the need is. We are especially thankful for Officer Abe Chung and North Area Commander Lt. Lola Abrahamian who work closely with the MSPA to keep Montrose a safe place.
