Students at Holy Redeemer Middle School in Montrose ditched their plaid uniforms and dressed in pink while classrooms challenged one another in “penny wars” to raise money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer organization. The school has raised awareness of this women’s medical issue for the past 10 years with various fundraising techniques.
