Thanksgiving Shop & Dine Winter Wonderland Weekend!
To all of our readers, friends, and customers: Get ready to immerse yourself in an old fashioned, hometown, Thanksgiving shopping weekend like no other! Snow, tree lighting, music, singing, store specials, free prizes, pony rides, Santa and more! We have it all in the beautiful Montrose Shopping Park shimmering with thousands of lights. We are asking you to choose Montrose first and show the nation what it means to support small town America and shop local. As you read, this our trees are being enrobed in lights and our street lamps adorned with Christmas cheer, all leading up to our old town tree lighting ceremony. Imagine seeing the tree and town lit before your very eyes as snow begins to gently fall! This year we will also have an old fashioned sing-a-long, too. Where else but Montrose?
Now let’s talk turkey. Have you ever had a smoked turkey? Zeke’s Smokehouse (2209 Honolulu Ave.) is doing 18-20 lb. hickory smoked barbecue turkeys in their famous smoker for $75. Add to that quarts of homemade turkey gravy, southern style green beans, mashed potatoes, cranberry applesauce and southern cornbread stuffing at $9.95 each and you have a gourmet feast without any of the work. Zeke’s suggests one pound of turkey per person. Call them at (818) 957-7045 to place your order.
Last week Steve Pierce and I were visiting several of our stores and I was totally taken with the custom orders being created by Lucy at Lara’s Gifts (2259 Honolulu Ave.). Did you know Lara’s specializes in favors, chocolates and custom candy platters for special events? What a thrill it was to see this Thanksgiving platter of newly arrived pistachio nougat candy. Of course I had to taste one and they are amazing! If you have never been there you must stop by. It’s “the” place for tasteful hostess gifts! I tell you the Montrose Shopping Park is full of hidden treasures. Keep in touch with us on Facebook and www.shopmontrose.com for all the upcoming store specials and open houses. Thank you for shopping Montrose first this holiday!
