Members of the La Cañada Flintridge Orthopaedic Guild attended a ceremony in October celebrating the renaming of the Orthopaedic Institute for Children (OIC), formerly the Orthopaedic Hospital. The hospital has dedicated more than a century of work to children with orthopaedic conditions at 403 W. Adams Blvd. in Los Angeles.
OIC reflects the continued commitment to children with musculoskeleal disorders regardless of their ability to pay. The October celebration was a milestone for the century-old institution and honored the achievements over the last 102 years with a focus on the future.
The mission of OIC is to provide outstanding care for pediatric patients with musculoskeletal disorders and advance care worldwide for all musculoskeletal patients through medical education and scientific research. In partnership with UCLA Health, OIC is uniquely positioned as a leader in treating the full spectrum of orthopaedic needs.
