A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on the northbound Glendale (2) freeway at about 6 p.m. this evening.

California Highway Patrol shut down all but the number one lane on the northbound 2 Freeway near Mountain Street exit, said CHP Officer Kimball.

At present, 8:22 p.m., all but one lane of the freeway remains closed as CHP continues an investigation. There is no information available at this time about the cause of the accident or the victim. Check back with CVW as information is released.
