Hot Diggity Dawg!

Oh how I love holidays, seasons and reasons to celebrate! Here’s one for you. Next Wednesday, Jan. 15, is National Hot Dog Day. Instead of your ordinary dog, here are a few gourmet options found at Gelsinger’s Amber Road (2016 Montrose Ave.). Starting at $4.95, you can get a pack of four “dawgs” in combos like duck & bacon, chicken jalapeno, and alligator pork, just to name a few. Of course Gelsinger’s has a reputation for the finest quality meats. Sure sounds like a good reason to try something fun in the new year!

The Montrose Shopping Park is a foodie place! You could film a whole year of Food Network specials here. I find great delight in sharing these finds with you. Here are two “must tries” from Montrose Bakery & Café (2325 Honolulu Ave.). Shannon is proudly holding a fresh fruit tart, a centerpiece for your next party. What you can’t see in front of her is a long loaf of their signature jalapeno cheese bread. It’s to die for! Eat it alone or give your sandwiches that extra kick.

In the Montrose Shopping Park even the parking lots are scenic. This vista says it all. How we love Montrose Travel (2349 Honolulu Ave.) that takes great care to display a perfectly manicured garden scene for our enjoyment.
