PJ Party With Melissa Gilbert at Once Upon A Time!

On Saturday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m., Once Upon A Time Books (2207 Honolulu Ave.) is bringing out the steamer trunk for a fun, interactive dress up PJ night as actress Melissa Gilbert, best known as Laura Ingalls Wilder on the “Little House on the Prairie” tAelevision show, brings her French bull dog Josephine to help introduce her debut picture book “Daisy And Josephine.” Be sure to wear your best pjs and bring your favorite plush friend for story time, dress up and French treats! Did you know Giuseppe’s (2428 Honolulu Ave.) won the Taster’s Choice Award for the 2014 Rose Float fundraiser meatball tasting competition? I caught up with owner Alex and found out the recipe is his moms and has been in the family 40 years. One of the secret ingredients is imported pecorino cheese that is grated off the wheel. Add that to Valdo’s amazing sauce and you’ve got a winner. They have a must try new crispy pizza dough too from an Italian chef!
