Pray Rain Celebration Ceremony
Center for Spiritual Living – La Crescenta is having a pray rain celebration on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 1 “ish” to 2:30 “ish” to participate in bringing rain to our land. Bring your positive knowing attitude of feeling, being with, and enjoying the rain … and bring umbrellas and raingear.

Drums, shakers, tambourines will be provided, unless you want to bring your own.

This is a free event. Facilitated by Dr. Marsalee Forrestar, shamanic practitioner, and Laney Clevenger-White, RScP.

Then on Sunday, Feb. 2 Jennifer Russell will be back to share her amazing Soulebration service at 10 a.m. She will be presenting a new Soulebration.

Tuesday Table Talk  
On Tuesday, Feb. 4, Bethel Church in Sun Valley will show the film “Kit Kittredge: An American Girl.”

This Depression-era drama follows aspiring young journalist Kit Kittredge whose ingenuity and courage help save her family’s house when their savings are stolen during a series of robberies. Appropriate for the whole family.

The videos will be preceded by a potluck supper. The potluck starts at 6:30 p.m.; the presentation starts at 7:15 p.m. followed by dessert and discussion at about 8:30 p.m.  Free.

Italian Classes at St. Bede
Conversational Italian will be taught at St. Bede Parish on Saturday mornings by noted professor of Italian and Spanish, Professor Nancy Ammirato. The classes, sponsored by the Italian Catholic Federation (ICF), will focus on learning conversational Italian and will be fun-filled and free of tedious grammar lessons. In these classes, participants will learn to conduct conversations in everyday Italian as is spoken in Italy.

Classes are from 10 a.m. to noon for eight weeks. A workbook will be included. The cost of classes is $140 per person and profits from these classes go to the charities supported by ICF.

As classes are almost filled, anyone interested must act immediately to be registered. For information, call (818) 952-1969. Class size is limited to 20 students and classes are open to all ages. Classes will be held in the Pope John XIII Room of the Parish Center at St. Bede the Venerable Roman Catholic Church, 215 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge.
