CVAS Hosts Open House

90th WEB

Crescenta Valley Adventist School (CVAS) celebrated its 90th anniversary on Jan. 26 with an Open House Extravaganza. CVAS families, alumni and members of the community enjoyed food trucks, bouncers and games. Pastor Cary Fisher rededicated the school campus to God and Associate Superintendent Dr. Pam Forbes performed the ribbon cutting ceremony.
Alumni as well as new faces graced the campus and everyone enjoyed all that CVAS offered. Prospective students walked through the classrooms in awe of the projects students had completed. Prospective parents were intrigued and filled out student applications to ensure their child had a reserved seat for the upcoming school year.
“This school is a hidden gem, nestled in the foothills, away from the bustle of the city,” Principal Wendy DiLullo-Newmyer said. “For 90 years we have educated kindergartners through eighth graders in the Crescenta Valley community, focusing on the whole child: spiritually, academically, physically and socially.
“At CVAS, we ensure that class sizes are small in order to build character through academics in a caring, Christian environment.”
