On March 1, the La Cañada Gladiators Youth Football and Cheer program will open registration for the 2014 season. Applications will be available on the Gladiator webpage at www.lcgladiators.org.

The Gladiator program is open to girls and boys ages 6 to 14. The Gladiators field one flag team, five tackle teams, and several cheer squads.

Last season saw four Gladiator teams make the playoffs, two win league championships, and one team go undefeated and win the conference championship. Although one of the smallest franchises participating in San Gabriel Junior All-American Football, in the last 11 years the Gladiators have captured 19 league championships and nine conference championships.

Early registration is strongly encouraged as spaces fill up quickly and team rosters are capped at 33 players for each tackle team and 20 players for the flag squad. Information may be found on the Gladiators’ webpage. The Gladiators’ season begins July 21, and runs until mid-November.
