CVHS Presents ‘Beauty & the Beast’
Crescenta Valley High School Performing Arts Dept. presents “Beauty & the Beast.” Performances are Feb. 21, Feb. 22, Feb. 28 and March 1 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. Tickets for the show are $20 for reserved seating and $10 for regular seating. For students, the prices are $15 and $5 respectively. The performances are at the MacDonald Auditorium at 4400 Ramsdell Ave. in La Crescenta.


Pancakes Plus at Dunsmore
Dunsmore Elementary School is hosting its annual pancake breakfast and rummage sale on March 1 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Treasures and bargains galore at this great multi-family rummage sale. The cost is $5 for breakfast that includes hot pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee. Proceeds benefit the sixth grade science camp.

Dunsmore Elementary School is located at 4717 Dunsmore Ave., La Crescenta.


Kohl’s Cares Seeking Scholarship Nominations
Nominations for kids ages 6 to 18 are now being accepted through March 14 for the Kohl’s Department Stores Kohl’s Cares® Scholarship Program at kohlskids.com. The program will award nearly $400,000 in scholarships and prizes this year to more than 2,300 young volunteers who have made a positive impact in their communities. Parents, teachers, neighbors and friends are encouraged to nominate outstanding youth in celebration of their time, energy and passion to helping others.

Awards will range from $50 Kohl’s gift cards to regional scholarships worth $1,000 toward higher education. Ten national winners will be awarded a total of $10,000 in scholarships for higher education, and Kohl’s will donate $1,000 to a nonprofit organization on each national winner’s behalf.

Since the Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program began in 2001, Kohl’s has recognized more than 19,500 kids with more than $3.9 million in scholarships and prizes.
