It was a close game on Wednesday afternoon when the Falcon JV boys basketball team met the Burbank Bulldogs at CV.
The team enters the final games of the season in first place in the CIF Pacific League. Beating the Bulldogs was necessary, but at times seemed doubtful as the Falcons had trouble holding onto the ball in the first quarter. The second opened with the Falcons down by one that they quickly picked up in the first 30 seconds of play. Burbank was ready for the challenge, quickly picking up the pace as the Falcons’ offense wavered and they failed to finish their shots. But the Falcons rallied ending the game 52-50. They meet Arcadia Friday, Feb. 12.
