Thee Elbow Room and Ribbon Cutting in Historic Building
If you haven’t seen the transformation of the building at 3500 N. Verdugo Road, you need to. I am sure most of you know the building that is located at the northeast corner of Sunview Avenue and Verdugo Road right in front of the baseball fields at Montrose Park and you didn’t even know it. The owners of the property, which houses two separate companies, have painstakingly restored this historic building, keeping the character and architecture reminiscent to the era in which it was built.
Arbitrage Realty owner Albert Hairapetian and his brother, Esquire Law Firm Inc. owner Victor Hairapetian, share this unique space. Both businesses have been in Glendale for over 15 years and consider their relationships with their clients the most important thing.
“I’m excited to announce the grand opening celebration we’re about to have at our new office at 3500 N. Verdugo Road,” Albert said. “After nearly two years of complete renovation, the job is done and we’re opening our doors to the public. It was always a dream to own my own office building someday, and it recently became a reality. I would like to invite everyone to join us in this celebration on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 5 p.m., which will continue to whatever time it needs to.
“We invite you, your spouse, your kids and your friends to stop by and check out what we’ve done and celebrate the years of service ahead!”
Please join us at the ribbon cutting tonight at 5 p.m. and stay for the fun. Music, food, drinks, games and prizes. Raffle tickets are given to everyone who attends. For more information about their businesses, please log onto www.realestate123.com and www.esqlawfirm.com.
Please join us for our March mixer at Thee Elbow Room, the newest addition to the Montrose Shopping Park. It will take place next Wednesday, March 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. It is replacing Java Brew in the Village Square Complex. Its large outdoor seating area, great coffee and terrific lunch menu makes it a great place to have lunch in Montrose. The food is fresh and everything is handmade – even the cheese. Nothing is pre-made. Co-owner Cristal Arguelles believes making things from scratch makes a difference in the taste and adds to the enjoyment of the meal. Cristal hopes people will notice this and come back for more. Cristal graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Pasadena and worked under renowned chefs in Las Vegas including Rick Moonen, Bobby Flay and Charlie Palmer. Cristal and her partner Steve Kwan, owner of Gilligan’s Irish Pub in La Crescenta, have their sights set on more than just a café. They are working toward turning Thee Elbow Room into a craft beer bar, serving California-made brews in addition to the sandwiches, salads and coffee now available. They will maintain the cafe’s cozy atmosphere.
“I don’t want this to be a ‘pretentious” place. I would like this place to be a comfortable, homey pub with good food paired with craft beer,” Cristal said.
