At 11:58 p.m. last Tuesday night the Clark Magnet High School Robotic team’s competition robot was packed and sealed in the official FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotic transportation bag. The team will not be able to make any additions or adjustments until they arrive at their regional competition.

Assembly ended at about 11:30 PM Tuesday night giving the kids just a few minutes of testing. Everything seemed to work well.

Assembly of the matching practice robot is continuing this week. Hopefully that robot will be finished soon so that the weekend can be spent fine-tuning and practicing in preparation for the regional competition that begins in Madera, CA on March 7.

Since Nov. 17, 2013 Clark’s team comprised of 34 students have logged 5,399 hours, and the six mentors have logged 1,212 hours. All of these hours have been logged outside of the traditional school schedule.
