Heart Your Park Program

The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) has partnered with Macy’s, Inc. on Heart Your Park, a community donation program to benefit local parks across America from March 7 – 31. The store personnel at the Macy’s in the Glendale Galleria have selected Brand Park as the recipient of their in-store donations as part of the “SecretGarden” campaign. Customers will be able to make donations of $1 or more when making a purchase at the Macy’s store. A purchase is not necessary to make a donation and customers may request a form at the store that documents the donation for tax deductibility purposes.

Additionally, Macy’s will be matching the first $250,000 raised in total across all participating stores, through the program. The City may apply the donation as it sees fit to support the park.

Brand Park is a 31-acre community gem nestled at the base of the Verdugo Mountains. The park offers hiking and biking trails, basketball court, softball field, picnic areas, children’s playground, and seasonal children’s wading pool. The park is home to Brand Studios, the newly renovated Brand Library & Art Center, Whispering Pine Teahouse & Friendship Gardenand the Doctors House Museum & Gazebo.
