A  residential fire in the 1000 block of Descanso Drive in La Cañada Flintridge has closed down the intersection of Chevy Chase and Descanso drives until about 11 p.m. this evening.

“We were dispatched to a single family residential fire, ” said Battalion 4 Chief Reed, from Los Angeles County Fire Station 82.

The call came in at 9:21 p.m. The fire was confined to contents of a guesthouse on the property.

The cause is still under investigation, no injuries were reported.  The California Gas Company was called to the property as a precaution.

LACoFD had the fire knocked down within ten minutes.
