The Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that the Glendale Chamber of Commerce named our board member Eric Hamilton as their man of the year! Eric Hamilton is a broker at Crescenta Valley Insurance in La Crescenta and has worked there for over 10 years. CVI is a full service agency and provides property and casualty insurance for auto, home, umbrella; business insurance including liability, work comp, EPLI as well as life, health, disability for families, groups and individuals.

Eric started his career in the printing and advertising industry but, as he moved through several different industries, he soon realized that he had a passion for business, sales and people and that lead him to insurance.

“I love helping others protect their future, and it became a mission in my life,” Eric said.

Eric was born in North Hollywood, grew up in Toluca Lake, and moved to Glendale in 1976 where he attended Toll Junior High School and graduated from Herbert Hoover High School. After high school, Eric earned an Associate Arts from Glendale Community College, then transferred to Pepperdine University and received a Bachelors of Science in business management. Eric is very involved in the community and gives of his time to many local organizations. Eric joined the Glendale Sunrise Rotary in 2008. He is currently GSR president for 2013-14 year, board president of The Campbell Center (formerly GAR Services), vice president of events for the Glendale Educational Foundation, vice president of the newly formed Glendale Fire Foundation, a director at the Glendale Chamber of Commerce and a board member for the Montrose/Verdugo Chamber of Commerce. It’s easy to see why the Glendale Chamber named Eric their man of the year. He has given his time and talents to the Glendale community for most of his life and continues to give more and more to make this a great place to live and work. The Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate Eric Hamilton and let him know that we are proud to have him on our chamber board.

Crescenta Valley Day at the Races is Sunday March 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Santa Anita Park, 285 W. Huntington Dr. Arcadia.

April business mixer is Wednesday, April 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church of La Crescenta, 4441 La Crescenta Ave., La Crescenta outside in their new courtyard!

May business mixer is Wednesday, May 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at J’s Maintenance, 3550 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta.

The 18th annual golf classic and scholarship fundraiser is at Verdugo Hills Golf Course at 6433 La Tuna Canyon Road in Tujunga.
