Wheaton College (Illinois) students Ha Eun Jung of Glendale and Adam Wolcott of La Crescenta were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2013 semester. Jung is majoring in psychology.
Dean’s list honors are earned at Wheaton by undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

Erica Lee of Montrose was named to the University of Rhode Island for the fall 2013 dean’s list. The students represent all of Rhode Island’s cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, many other states and more than a dozen countries.
To be included on the dean’s list, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 credits with a 3.30 quality point average.

Amelia Palacios, the daughter of Maureen and Jorge Palacios of La Crescenta, has been named to the dean’s list of Macalester College for academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2013-14 school year.
A graduate of Crescenta Valley High School, Palacios was a first-year student at Macalester last fall.
The dean’s list at Macalester College is published at the end of each semester. For fall semester, it will be published one week after the grade submission deadline. For spring semester, it will be published three weeks after the grade submission deadline. To be eligible for the dean’s list a student must have been registered as a full-time, degree-seeking student and may not have been on a study away program.

Madison Artis and Kristen Hicks of La Crescenta who attend Whitworth University have been named to the Whitworth University Laureate Society for fall semester 2013. The students qualified for the academic honors society by maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.75 during the semester.
Located in Spokane, Wash., Whitworth is a private liberal arts university affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Mae A. Colcord of La Crescenta has been named to second honors on the dean’s list of Clark University in Worcester. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the fall 2013 semester.
To be eligible for second honors, students must have a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.79, of a maximum of 4.3.

Daniel Turnipseed of Montrose and Breanna Klein of La Crescenta were among the 4,700-plus students at Arizona State University who turned their tassels to the left and had their degrees conferred at university commencement ceremonies in Wells Fargo Arena on ASU’s Tempe campus. ASU President Michael M. Crow served as the official speaker for the undergraduate ceremony.

Lauren Galantai, of La Cañada Flintridge, is among the 232 high-achieving students from Whittier College who made the fall 2013 dean’s list. Undergraduate students are awarded dean’s list honors if he or she earns a 3.70 grade point average (GPA) while completing a full-time course load (12 units) in the fall and spring terms.
Founded by Quakers in 1887, Whittier College is an independent, four-year college offering a traditional liberal arts program integrated with both professional and pre-professional courses of study.

Participants included Ian Kim of Sunland and Brandon Um of La Cañada.
Harvard Model Congress is an educational nonprofit organization run by Harvard’s undergraduate students.
