Emporio Armani, the brick and mortar store of designer Giorgio Armani, opened its doors to invited guests on Monday for its Style Revival event.

A joint venture with Lucky Magazine, the Style Revival event was an intimate cocktail party in the newly opened store on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Hors d’ouvres were served along with fresh, handcrafted cocktails such as a basil margarita and a grapefruit Cape Cod. The hottest fashions were on display around the store and, although I cannot afford them, it was nice to dream.

Make-up artists set up their stations in one wing of the store, giving free makeovers and make-up tips to those in attendance. The wait list for a makeover grew to a substantial length rather quickly, but it was worth the wait. The women stepping off the raised make-up chairs looked incredible – dark smoky eyes, deep red lips, ever so subtle blush in the cheeks and eyebrows penciled to perfection. Each guest got her own unique look according to her style.

Across the store, there was a chance to show off the new looks with ever-roaming event photographers. There was also a new take on the traditional photo booth from The Bosco. Their “social photo booth” caters to events such as Style Revival, with a setup involving an iPad prompter screen, a high quality camera and four back-to-back shots of attendees. The shots were then composed together in a moving photo file, a .GIF, and emailed out to the specific guest for personal upload to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or any other site to show off the good times that were had.

DJ Chelsea Leyland was upstairs in the store providing the soundtrack for the event, heard amongst the racks upon racks of cleverly displayed men’s and women’s fashions for spring.

Overall, the evening seemed a success and a good time was enjoyed by everyone.
