Campus Revolution Planned
On April 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., there is an opportunity to discuss issues that are affecting local kids in a negative way and to talk about the different help that is available.
“Campus Revolution” is an event for Christian students, teachers, youth pastors, parents and other community members who want to make a difference in La Crescenta and Glendale. Hannah Sheklow, who recently launched the program The Village, will highlight the problem of drug abuse and ways the community can come together to combat this.
Students will have their own panel discussion and workshops as will adults, primarily led by CEAI (Christian Educators Association International).
The event is being sponsored by Project XIX, a network of GUSD schools and La Crescenta/Glendale churches, established and run by Christian students from CVHS, Glendale High and Hoover High. The network of local churches include First Baptist Church of La Crescenta, CV Church, Christian Assembly, Montrose Church, New Song, Antioch and Anointing Church.
Questions can be directed to Pia Hugo at piahugo@yahoo.com.
The event will be held at the First Baptist Church of Glendale, 209 N. Louise St., Glendale.
