A kids store of creative proportions, It Takes A Village Kids (2317 Honolulu Ave.) is celebrating its second  birthday. The party is next Thursday, May 1 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. You will want to call now [(818) 957-2200] to make an appointment to get a silhouette keepsake, like the one pictured above, of your child. You get two silhouettes per child for $25 (give one, keep one) mounted, and it only takes 10 minutes to do. There will be birthday cupcakes and giveaways all day! Plus 10% off the entire store. Let’s party Montrose style!

This month’s Montrose Shopping Park Association board meeting had a full agenda, but then again don’t they all? We always enjoy seeing a new face and were honored to have Glendale Chief of Police Robert Castro introduce himself and say a few words. After his presentation, he posed with our dedicated board. We also met Principal Economic Development Officer Darlene Sanchez (City of Glendale) as she shared plans for Montrose stakeholders meetings.

This colorful card was designed by MSP Board President Andre Ordubegian of Copy Network to announce one of our favorite family style events. It’s called Wags-N- Whiskers & Kids-N-Kritters and takes place in the Montrose Shopping Park next Sunday, May 4. There will be a dog parade, petting zoo, live entertainment and, of course, our famous Sunday Harvest Market. So do join us! Thanks for reading and for shopping & dining Montrose! www.shopmontrose.com
