Nominations Sought for Burbank Athletics Walk of Fame

The City of Burbank is accepting nominations for its Burbank Athletics Walk of Fame. Applications are due on May 30 at 5 p.m.

The City of Burbank Park, Recreation and Community Services Dept. and the Burbank Athletic Federation established the Burbank Athletics Walk of Fame to acknowledge the contributions of those individuals who have established and achieved high standards in the quality and diversity of athletic programs. These standards are achieved through the commitment and dedication of individuals who in their roles as participants, volunteers or professional staff have furthered the excellence of organized sports programs sponsored by the City of Burbank Park, Recreation and Community Services Department.

The Criteria Committee will consider those individuals who began their involvement in 1994 or earlier, although they could still be involved more recently.

To nominate a worthy individual, pick up an application at the City of Burbank Sports Office, 1111 W. Olive Ave.

The induction ceremony is on Oct. 4.
