600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, employees at the TJ Maxx store reported hearing an alarm activate indicating someone was attempting to leave the store with merchandise that had not had its security tags removed. An employee moved toward the front door and saw a woman walking out of the door at a fast pace with two purses under her arm. The employee followed the woman out the door and witnessed her getting into the front passenger seat of a forest green Toyota Camry that was parked at the curb with its engine running.

The vehicle fled the area at 12:45 p.m.

3900 block of Sunset Avenue in Montrose, a 43-year-old Montrose man was arrested after he got upset and physically assaulted his wife at 8 a.m.

Foothill Boulevard and Commonwealth Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, a 23-year-old Altadena man was arrested on suspicion of possession of concentrated cannabis and suspicion of possession of marijuana at 10:20 p.m.

600 block of Inverness Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

 

May 6

4300 block of Commonwealth Avenue in La Cañada, someone opened a credit card account via the Internet with personal information from the resident without her permission. The person then attempted to make two purchases but both were declined.

The resident was contacted by the fraud department of the credit card company informing her of the identity theft.

The incident occurred between midnight and 2:40 a.m.
