American Legion Post #288 in La Crescenta recently presented two legionnaires, Michael Carone and Angelo Chiarot who are both WWII veterans, with a copy of their posting on the national WWII memorial website “Registry of Remembrances.”
According to its website, the World War II Registry is a listing of Americans who contributed to the war effort in uniform and on the home front. Names in the Registry are forever linked to the memorial’s bronze and granite representations of their sacrifice and achievement.
The WWII Registry combines four distinct databases that can be searched for names of those whose service and sacrifice helped win World War II.
